Not content with this the other villagers decided to support the scheme and soon a arts and craft exhibition was mounted in the Village Hall. Mindful that there may be hundreds of visitors the local ‘Six Bells’ pub offered their large car park but this was also supplemented by a local residents meadow. In the event all 100 spaces and more were needed. Visitors were unanimous in extolling the high quality of the gardens that were opened up and with the plant and teas sale £2,800 was raised. An amazing effort due to the combined efforts of those who helped.
